The Process
Here is Solar early in process. You can see the size of the tool I used by the marks. In the next stage I moved her head to another position.
- Solar finished, but still wet. She will shrink as she dries. Clay is 25% water and she has to be totally dry to be successfully fired in the kiln.
- The finished Solar complete with several washes of acrylic paint and a finishing clear coat.
- This is the step you didn't see with Solar. Sun Goddess is shown here after firing in the kiln and before color is applied.
